How We Assist Seniors - Adult Care Hunters was contacted by a son who was looking for assisted living options for his 89 year old mother and 89 year old father. The mother is alert and oriented, talkative, but rather frail and no longer able to care for her husband. The father had suffered a stroke and had a lot of confusion as well as multiple medical problems. They had looked at several options in the Tucson area on their own, and were discouraged that they hadn’t found a good fit. Adult Care Hunters met with the entire family to assess and discuss what type of care would be required. We narrowed things down to two communities, where we visited a few times, had lunch and discussed the pro’s and cons of both communities. The family chooses a community that allowed the couple to be together in a spacious apartment where care is available twenty-four hours per day. In the follow up visits we made we saw that the father had made tremendous progress in the assisted living center, more progress in fact than what was made in four months of in-patient rehabilitation. Adult Care Hunters was also able to recommend a moving company, but the family decided to handle that task on their own. The outcome was very positive, a couple who has been married for 68 years were able to stay together and get the care needed for an affordable amount of money.

Trust & Praise

"Thank you both for
your wonderful
assistance & guidance
as I explored memory
care options for my
Mom. You're both very
caring, supportive and
you know your stuff! A
simple 'thank you'
seems so inadequate."
